My name is Danyel. I'm 31 years old. I am a former middle school teacher, and now a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful children. I am a proud military wife. I am a yarn addict. I'm originally from the suburbs of Chicago, and now I create patterns & crochet hats here in my home near Seattle. My home is smoke-free & pet-friendly... we have a Golden Retriever, but he doesn't crochet much.
I began crocheting in 2007 after a 15-year hiatus. My grandmother tried to teach me when I was little, then my mother-in-law tried to teach me a few years ago. But it wasn't until my mother-in-law sent me a how-to book and a crochet hook that I finally taught myself. At first, crocheting was something I did to keep my hands busy to keep from going crazy while I was pregnant. Now it's my passion. I truly love every stitch. The colors, the fibers, the textures, and even the SMELL of yarn are delightful!
